  Thanksgiving Weekend Events in Franklin, North Carolina
November 28 to 30, 2014

Thanksgiving Weekend is the traditional kick-off to the mountain holidays in Franklin, North Carolina. You're invited to join us for great family events that all ages can enjoy!

On Friday, November 28th at 7:00 p.m., take part in Historic Franklin's Tree Lighting Ceremony on the square in downtown. That will be followed by a special candle light service sponsored by Downtown Merchants. During this event you can enjoy FREE Wagon Rides, Free Hot Cider and Cookies as you join in the spirit of the season. Downtown merchants will also be sponsoring a candlelight service on the square for those that wish to participate.

Saturday, November 29th, the little ones can enjoy Cookies With Santa in the lower level of Town Hall in Frankln, North Carolina. Be sure to bring your camera to capture those once in a lifetime moments. Hours for the event are from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

During these two events you can also take in great shopping at our downtown merchants.

The festive weekend concludes with Franklin, NC's Annual Christmas Parade on Sunday, November 30th beginning at 3:00pm. The parade travels through the streets of Historic Downtown Franklin, NC. Call the Franklin Chamber of Commerce at (828) 524-3161 for information on the parade.

All other events are sponsored by the Franklin Main Street Program, the Town of Franklin, Franklin TDA and Macon County TDC.
